Navajo Horse Blankets - Quick Guide to finding the right size

If you're a horse owner, ensuring your equine companion is comfortable and well-equipped for rides is requirement. A woven Navajo Saddle Blanket for your horse can be a stylish and practical addition to your tack, but getting the right fit is crucial for both comfort and functionality. Here's a simple guide on how to measure your horse for a woven saddle blanket:

Prepare your horse: Make sure your horse is standing squarely on a flat surface. It's best if they're relaxed and calm to get accurate measurements. Best measurements are from the saddle itself and done while on a rack off the horse.

Measure the length: Measure your saddle length from front to back at the longest points.

Measure the width: from the tack rack, turn the saddle over to measure from the underside of the saddle. Measure from the center of the saddle to the outermost part of your rigging and, under the seat to the edge of the skirt at the leg. Multiply this measurement by two.

Consider the saddle: If you already have a saddle, measure its length and width too. The blanket should ideally be slightly larger than the saddle to provide ample coverage and protection.

Consult sizing charts: Different brands may have slightly different sizing guidelines, so it's a good idea to cross-reference your measurements with their recommendations.

By taking these measurements carefully, you can ensure that your horse's woven saddle blanket fits perfectly, providing both style and comfort on your rides.
